I am an art educator dedicated to inspiring creative confidence in all students. I am a connector, community-minded, and a reflective practitioner.
Connector
I am an artist and educator who strives to help future educators of all disciplines realize they can utilize art in their own practice and careers in education. I implement art instruction that challenges students to think about their own role, responsibility, and connection to the world.
Community-minded
I am community-minded through my involvement in community-based art practices by being a part of the design education team at Discovery World, volunteering for after school programs such as Milwaukee Visionaries Project, and implementing a community art project at Bruce Guadalupe Middle School in Walkers Point.
Reflective Practitioner
I continually reflect on myself as an artist and educator by making connections between research, pedagogy, and studio art practice. I strive to meet goals and grow as an art educator by attending and presenting at local and national conferences, participating in professional development workshops, and continuously collaborating with other professionals in and outside of the art field.
